Donington did every but secure victory in a hard fort league match against Cobra Oakwood here on Sunday.
In a performance far out ranking anything that has been produced this season, Donington were by far the better team for most of the match. The only difference between the two sides were Donington were prone to defensive lapses, as was the case for 1 goal gainst them in each half. The other factor was that the one goal Donington did score to even things up in the 1st half was one of a dozen chances that they created. Without the finishing quality to a number of well work moves, strive as they might, Doningto couldn-t find an equaliser let alone a winner.
Man of the Match went to Scott Bucknall who after a few weeks out produced an outstanding performance in Left Midfield.
