The Sunday team was started a few years ago as part of the club's expansion.

Age group teams were beginning to filter through the system, starting at U8's right up to U16 or U17 level.

This meant that after team members had completed playing in the U17 team they had nowhere to go within the club to carry on playing.

So as part of the push toward achieving the FA Charter Standard Community Club status the club formed the Sunday team for the youngsters to progress into.

Many ex Juniors players are still playing for this team in the Long Eaton Sunday League.
